Head modeling and electric-field simulation (Bikson Lab)
ongoingJul 2026 – present
Building head models, placing stimulation electrodes, and simulating the electric fields they produce, in an ongoing mentored project.
- Question
- How stimulation-electrode placement shapes the electric field inside a head model.
- My role
- Undergraduate Researcher, Bikson Lab, The City College of New York (mentored project).
- Data
- Head-model geometries and finite-element simulations.
- Tools
- Simpleware (head models, electrode placement)
- COMSOL Multiphysics (meshing, finite-element analysis)
- neuromodulation
- head-modeling

What I do
- Develop head models and position stimulation electrodes in Simpleware, then export the geometries to COMSOL for meshing and finite-element analysis.
- Generate electric-field magnitude plots from the COMSOL simulations to examine how the field is distributed in space.
- Parametric 3D modeling of skin for EC stimulation.
